Als Jesus Christus vor gut über 2000 Jahren in diese Welt kam, war es Nacht! Und das nicht nur in Bethlehem. Es war Nacht für Maria und Josef. Sie suchten Ruhe und eine Bleibe. Doch sie mussten fliehen! Zur gleichen Zeit war es Nacht für die Juden. Denn die Römer schickten Steuereintreiber. Diese forderten sehr viel. Der Kaiser schickte Soldaten, die hochfahrend und stolz daherkamen. Sie traten die Juden in den Schmutz. Aber nicht nur die Römer verbreiteten "Nacht". Es gab so viele Kranke im Volk, Gelähmte und viele Blinde. Welches Elend! Sie suchten Hilfe - und fanden sie nicht! 2. Deutsch English Advent – Ankunft – wer soll kommen? Auf wen warten wir? Vor etwa 2000 Jahren wartete eine schwangere Frau auf die Ankunft ihres Babys. Doch auch viele andere erwarteten die Ankunft dieses Kindes. Denn seit Jahrhunderten hatten Menschen, die einen besonderen „Draht“ zu Gott hatten, diesen besonderen Menschen angekündigt. Wer war dieser Mensch, auf den so viele warteten? Es war Gott selbst der Mensch wurde. Jesus, der Sohn Gottes genannt. Doch warum kam der Sohn Gottes auf die Erde, wo es doch in seinem himmlischen Reich so viel komfortabler ist? Aus Liebe! Gott kam als Mensch auf diese Erde, weil er nicht mehr ohne die Menschen leben wollte. Er hat die Menschen geschaffen um mit ihnen in einer innigen vertrauensvollen Beziehung zu Leben. Sie sollten seine Kinder, seine Freunde sein. Und wir Menschen? Wir interessierten uns nicht für Gott und tun es auch heute oft nicht. Im Gegenteil, wir wollen unabhängig unser eigenes Leben leben und unseren eigenen Willen tun. D...

Deutsch English Advent-arrival-who should come? Who are we waiting for? About 2,000 years ago, a pregnant woman was waiting for her baby to arrive. But many others were expecting this child’s arrival. Because for centuries people who had a special “wire” to God had announced this special person. Who was this person that so many were waiting for? It was God himself who became man. Called Jesus, the Son of God. But why did the Son of God come to earth when it is so much more comfortable in his heavenly kingdom? Out of love! God came to this earth as a man because he no longer wanted to live without people. He created people to live with them in an intimate, trusting relationship. You should be his children, his friends.    And we humans? We were not interested in God and often do not do it today.     Deutsch         English Ich liebe Feste und ich feier sehr gerne mit anderen Menschen und habe Spaß. Aber viel zu schnell feiern wir irgendwelche Feste, weil sie eine Modeerscheinung sind, weil sie sie so toll gemacht sind und den Anschein erwecken richtig cool zu sein. Aber die Verpackung von einem Fest sagt nicht wirklich was über die Wirkung aus. Jedes Fest hat einen Grund, ob ich daran glaube oder nicht. Jedes Fest hat eine Auswirkung auf mich. Geh ich ganz locker mit allem um was ich erlebe und was ich sehe oder überlege ich mit was mein Herz und meine Seele in Kontakt kommen darf. Wie sieht es denn jetzt mit Halloween aus. Es scheint ein witziges und lockeres Fest zu sein bei dem man eine Menge Spaß haben kann. Einige behaupten allerdings es sei gefährlich. Ist das nicht alles ein bisschen übertrieben? But all too quickly we celebrate celebrations because they are a fad, because they are so well done and give the impression of being really cool.     Deutsch         English Winter 1966. We were on our way home. It was already dark. The streets were without traffic, when suddenly a truck appeared. It blinked right, but did not move. We could not brake in time with our transporter. We crashed into the back of the truck.  I crashed with full force with my stomach on the dashboard, which had a buckle. I could hardly breathe. For me as a little boy, the ride to the next hospital has been very scary, because I was struggling for air.  The paramedics tried to reassure me. Immediately after arriving at the Hospital I was operated, because a ruptured liver of 8 centimeters has been found. In 1966 a ruptured liver of this size was almost a death sentence. The doctors were fighting for my life. I have been clinically dead. They tried to retrieve my life and they finally succeeded.  That night my family came together for prayer. All shouted fervently to God for help. ...

    Deutsch         English It was 2003. In our busiest time my mother was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer and barely escaped with her live. It was difficult for me to be in the stage of her disease so far away. I live with my family in Germany and my parents lived in Norway. I kept thinking of her, praying for my mother and suffering with my parents.  Twice I took free for several weeks in order to be with her. I visited my mom in the hospitals, bought for her and did everything to land a helping hand. She was very weak and my father was desperate. Half the world prayed for her and actually after a terrible year with unspeakable suffering, the situation changed. It was a miracle that the cancer disappeared, although my mother was so weak that even the chemo had to be aborted. However, in all the time I had a supernatural peace and certainty in my heart that my mother would survive.  Each man is destined to die onc...
