The fullness of grace
1. Moses was shocked and very disappointed When he returned from Mount Sinai with two tablets, Moses was very disappointed. God himself wrote the Ten Commandments. And what had happened? The people of Israel danced and sang, the golden calf is now our God. When Moses saw and heard all this, he spoke to God. God was deeply disappointed. He wanted to start a new generation with Moses and reject the people of Israel. But Moses did not agree with this intention. He prayed with all his heart that God would grant them forgiveness. God forgave this great sin. he Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin Exodus 34,6-7a (ESV) 2.
