God's care and faithfulness
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55,22 (ESV)
1. The Lord provides for us.
This means that we are allowed to entrust our worries, fears, and burdens to God. He invites us to not carry our burdens alone, but to hand them over to Him because He cares for us.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)
These verses encourage us to trust in God's care and faithfulness, instead of allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed by our worries. God promises to stand by us in difficult times.
Prayer is the door out of the prison of worries (H. H. Gollwitzer).
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 12:12 (ESV)
2. Do not worry about anything.
Parts from a morning prayer (from the magazine Lydia):
Paul encourages the Christians in Philippi. Do not worry! "Worrying means bringing the problems of tomorrow into today." How often do we worry needlessly, because things turn out differently than we think.
God has promised that He will never withdraw His help from us. He will take care of us so that we will lack nothing. According to Hebrews 13:5
Often we worry about things that later turn out to be completely unnecessary. We worry about what the future holds, what could happen if this or that situation were to arise. Worries and fears about the future can truly imprison us.

Verse 1a
4. Jesus' Invitation
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11,28 (ESV)
Live with Jesus in complete trust in God. He knows our lives and directs them. This knowledge gives great confidence. No matter how much we may worry, no person can add even a single span to their life. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet here, today the Lord helps.

Parts from a morning prayer (from the magazine Lydia):
- O God, I am truly grateful to You for this new day, for every hour, every minute that You grant me.
- Please free me from
- all fears of the future,
- from all worries of the next day,
- from all weaknesses, when Your strength is available to me.
- So be with me on this new day and use me as You will. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

3. Song: (IN LOVE WITH JESUS 2-Song number 99)
Verse 1a
I trade my worries, I trade my shame. I exchange them for the joy of the Lord.
Chorus:
I am pressured, but not crushed; persecuted, but not abandoned; knocked down, but not defeated; blessed despite the curse, for His promise stands, His joy remains my strength. Even if the suffering lingers through the night, the day brings His joy.
